Whether North Korea really did claim to have sent a man to the sun and back, it’s still an entertaining news piece. Read it here: http://waterfordwhispersnews.com/2014/01/21/north-korea-lands-first-ever-man-on-the-sun-confirms-central-news-agency/
In actual news, VIP is over as of Friday! I would normally have celebrated except that we weekenders had to teach a high school program instead of starting our vacation like the rest of our colleagues. It’s the first time ever that EV has booked a weekend program right after VIP. Not that admin cares; they’re already on holiday. On the other hand, I haven’t minded the high school program because they are among the best students I’ve taught here.
Glenn and I are having a “stay-cation” next week, and I’m looking forward to working on some of my pet projects during that time, including planning our trip to Thailand + Cambodia (+24 hours in Shanghai), working on my grad school application, and catching up with friends and family on Skype. I’m hoping that our heat will be working for the duration of our time at home.
Two more teachers worked their last day on Friday, and EV will be losing at least 4 more teachers in the next 2-3 months (myself and Glenn included). It’s going to take a miracle for us to manage the 500-student program coming in March with only 30 teachers.
That’s all for now, folks!
